Synopsis:
If there’s one thing Zoe Chandler, Historical Restorations expert, knows, it’s that naked bankers aren’t supposed to look like Greek gods. Honestly, it’s enough to make any woman pause. Luckily, Zoe is more of a take-charge, rush-in-where-angels-fear-to-tread kind of girl, and she definitely has fantasies of rushing towards Jake. But Jake is a man who is all about control, and there’s no way he’s going to let Zoe run this show.
Nude paintings, blackmail, and mind-numbing sexual frustration…will either of them survive this project.

My Review:
This isn't going to be some epic love story. I can't say that I liked this one. First off, the setting is in Australia, so be prepared for the Aussie colloquialisms. The story wasn't poorly delivered and needs some work. The conflict was silly and avoidable, and the resolution was oversimplified and quick. It gave me the feeling that this wasn't well thought out. It's a very short read, by the way.
Zoe was forceful and pushy in a not so flattering way. With the way that she was chasing Jake, it was almost like she was the predator. The stunt she pulled near the end was childish and speaks volumes to the kind of person she is. I kept expecting Jake to say something along the lines of "I can put up with a lot, but you fuck with my face, it's time to die". Nope didn't happen at all. But it would have been a lot cooler if it did. Jake's approach to the relationship was a bit flip-floppy. One minute he's the take charge alpha male; the next he's subservient. For a supposed "grown man", he's a bit of a boy. The mother was unrealistic too. In what world does a loving mother not care that you made her son appear to be some sleaze-ball porn star to the public, amidst his campaign for public office? It's moronic and unheard of.
There was hardly any romantic build up and a lack of a connection to the characters. Not to mention there was a weird ghost element to the story, which was unnecessary and creepy in a perverted way.
